Not much....

"No news is good news!" Nothing exciting, but here is a little rambling!

Hunter is getting baptized this coming Sunday, and we are very excited! I am hoping that he doesn't show the entire church his new talent....sticking out is tongue!! He loves his tongue. He sticks it out, pulls it, rolls it, and makes lots of noise with it! He really is such a funny guy! He makes me laugh so hard, and I really think that he is "trying to be funny!"

Hunter LOVES his sleep! The other day I was waking him up, and I had the best reaction ever! As I was talking to wake him...his eyes stayed shut but he had a HUGE smile on his face....like he was awake but couldn't seem to open his eyes yet. Almost sitting up on his own. Still needs a little help from the boppy! And I can't get enough of his belly...too cute!

Day in the Park

Hunter is a "thing baby!" Meaning, he loves his things...swings, excersaucer, johnny jumper, etc! Honestly, he can entertain himself as long as I let him! I am terrified of the day that he no longer fits into his things. In the meantime, I am gonna enjoy it! However, there is NO easy way to get a baby in and out of the johnny jumper...I am sure that Hunter would appreciate any tips!!

My favorite thing right now is "face time" with Hunter. I hold him on my chest with his face close to mine, and he "explores" my face. His hands touch, hold and pull while he has a huge smile...it's like he's really understanding and learning!! He "kisses" me with his mouth wide open. I kiss him a million times a day, and that priceless laugh- oh my! This little bugger has a HUGE personality!

We took Hunter to the park, and go figure...he loved the swing! This was his first time and definitely not his last! The first thing Scott did when he got home was hang the swing under our magnolia tree! The weather has been beautiful, so swinging has been one of our daily playtime activities. What can I say...I am soakin' up every second that I have with my baby boy! He is so special, funny, adorable, and his smile is so contagious!! Hunter is such a strong fella and can stand up with assistance!

No rice cereal or solids yet, I am still breastfeeding, so....as I modestly sip on a minature glass of leftover champagne from Valentine's day (while blogging and cooking)....Cheers to health, happiness, and sweet boys!!

5 Months

Holy-tol-ido!! I have no clue how to spell that?! But, that is the first word that comes to mind when I think about Hunter already being 5 months old. Feb. 13 marks his 5 month birthday!! I am embracing each day and each smile with him...as life seems to be zipping by!

Hunter update:
  • Rolls from tummy to back...not so much back to tummy
  • Bears weight on his legs and "stands" for a long time
  • Sleeps 11-12 hours straight a night....unbelievable and totally appreciated;)
  • Still needs 3 naps (morning, lunch and late afternoon)
  • Breastfeeding 5 times a day (will probably start experimenting with food in the next few weeks-           although, the thought of this overwhelms me for some reason!)
  • Magic green chair is still a fav!
  • Has the biggest smile (he gets compliments daily on his priceless smile)
  • Laughs and talks often and very loud
  • Can sit alone for only a short time
  • Still has very little hair
  • SO easy going and laid back
  • Independent (likes to be held and hugged but also needs to be left alone to entertain himself, gets agitated if held too long. This is both good and bad for mommy!)
  • Loves his big green pappy (pacifier)
  • Always has his hands/thumb in his mouth..in fact, he has gagged himself- he laughed!
  • Excels on his schedule...not always an easy job for me, but the payoff is huge!!
  • New fav noise is "gasping"...only when he's excited. So he does a lot of gasping when his friends are around!!
  • He thinks I am so funny;) He has many "belly laughs" daily! I love it!
  • Sleeps in sleep sack
  • Cries very little (but when he does, he can blow the doors open in our house- LOUD!)

Speaking of being loud...Scott and I call Hunter "Pipes" because his voice, cry and laugh are so much louder than his little body. I have called Scott "Peeps" for years because he is very soft spoken.Scott signed a card the other day..."love, Peeps and Pipes." They may look just alike, but their volume is one thing that is very different from eachother! Who are my Valentine's???....Peeps and Pipes! I love my boys, and we had fun making hand print Valentines card for daddy!

Oh Happy Days!

I will just load you with pics this week! Quick update: Hunter is 4.5 months old and is full of personality! He can successfully roll from belly to back, constantly has his hand in his mouth, laughs at cartoons, still sleeps hard in carseat, in love with his big green pappy, can't live without his naps (especially his morning nap!), doesn't make a "peep" when I put him in the crib at night, however...cries for the first 10-15 minutes of his afternoon nap (no matter what I do), really thriving from his early bedtime, just overall a very happy baby, and the cold weather isn't slowin' him down one bit! He makes me laugh so hard...oh my, I love him!
