January 11, 2012- Flashback Post 4

We have our "end of first trimester" appointment tomorrow...can't wait! We will share the news in the next couple of days! I am SO SO excited to say that we just found out that some our best friends are due 7 days before us! Scott and I almost screamed when they announced their pregnancy!! They were so excited to find out that we are pregnant together! We have been friends with them since elementary school!!!!!! Now our kids will grow up together, and who knows...maybe even go to homecoming together ;)!
I am feeling really good, and this pregnancy continues to be the same as my first go around. The differences... I do tend to have very little appetite at night, chicken disgusts me, and I get a wave of sleepiness at 5:00 that last about 20 minutes...this is when I have to get real active to get a new burst of energy! That could be a result of pregnancy or chasing around my 16 month old that opens every door and has learned to unlock the front door!I have fooled everyone at parties...no one knows I am fake drinking because I poor sprite into Bud Light bottles!! Works like a charm!
Hunter is such an independent and funny fella. He is still wonderful at entertaining himself, and for the most part he does so without major injury!! ;) The kid still has a serious arm and throws balls ALL THE TIME...and I'm talking chunking the ball, line drive and far! It is actually dangerous, and I always have to keep a close eye at play dates to make sure he doesn't throw in a kids face!

It's SO CUTE....when we say, "Who's gonna be a big brother?" Hunter raises his arm and says MEEEEE!! Love it, and he is going to be a great big brother...as soon as we can teach him NOT to chunk balls at people!

It's confirmed!! Flashback Post 3

December 15, 2011. We just had our first doctor appointment for baby #2. We had an ultrasound, and all looks good. We heard a strong heartbeat, and saw the little bean moving all around! It really is amazing! I am 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant!!
It hit me and Scott...this is it, this is for real!! At this point, our minds finally started thinking pregnancy-labor-newborn!! All the excitement hit us, and we were so gitty!!

I am still feeling so good!! One of my symptoms with both pregnancies is that I get short of breath doing almost nothing! It starts right away and ends around 7 weeks. So, that symptom is starting to fade. My energy level is normal, no nausea/morning sickness...so far the same as Hunter! I think the only difference so far is that certain foods gross me out! I don't remember any food aversions with Hunter.

So, my babies will be about 22.5 months apart!! This is very exciting to us!! We will tell our immediate families on Christmas and everyone else after the first trimester. I pray for this pregnancy and labor to be smooth like the first time around....and a healthy baby, first and foremost!!

6 weeks pregnant-Flashback Post 2

We have our appointment on December 15th!! We say our prayers with Hunter every night that He protects our little bundle!! As of now, we call the baby Bodie (pronounced Boadee)...not sure why, it just came out while saying our prayers. I think Bodie is actually a word that means "precious/loved one." I think it's a southern term...I don't know, I've only heard it from my family, it may be made up?!!

I feel fine, just like I did with Hunter. My energy is great, considering I am chasing around Hunter who learned how to walk 3 days ago!! It's the holiday's...there is no time to waste! No symptoms yet, other than I am hungry but nothing ever sounds good to eat! I mainly eat rice cakes, crackers, mandarin oranges, bagels, sparkling water, and fried shrimp sushi rolls ;)! I am not nauseous at all- thank God...I am the BIGGEST baby when it comes to throwing up! I just simply can't think of what I want to eat!!!!!

It's 30 degrees outside, so Hunter and I are enjoying lots of house play dates!! We have decided not to tell anyone yet. If all goes well at the doctor, we will tell our immediate families on Christmas (9 weeks preg.) But, we will wait until after the first trimester to tell everyone else. Just playing it safe!

November 19, 2011-Flashback Post 1

I woke up and JUST KNEW I was pregnant! Scott and I knew we wanted the kids to be 24-30 month (2-2.5 years) apart. So we decided to start the journey to baby #2!

Fast forward a couple weeks to November 19th (Saturday.) My gut instinct was shouting "pregnant!" I took a left over test from when I was pregnant with Hunter, and there was 2 lines! WHAT??? I just got off my period a few weeks ago. I thought it was an "expired" test, so I said nothing to Scott. I went up to HEB and got a stack of tests. Yep, all positive! We are very grateful, anxious, and excited! I am fully aware of the blessing that we are experiencing. So, as Scott was enjoying a relaxing Saturday morning.....I told Scott, "I got an early Christmas decoration for the house that I want to give you"
