Fun Days

Trent has found his SMILE!! He has the sweetest smile...it is so genuine! You can feel his smile pierce your soul! I just love it!! We are now officially making the move into our home. There is still work that needs to be done, but we are more than ready to nest in our new home. All the work that needed to be done while the house was vacant is complete, and we are relieved to be in the final homestretch. "Phase 1" of renovations is nearing completion. Now that is something to SMILE about!! I can't wait to spend more time with Trent and enjoy every little smile and coo!

Trent is already a very laid back baby, but he doesn't have much choice between wild Hunter and moving. Hunter adores him, but can also be very rough with him. However, the horse play doesn't seem to bother Trent...he just takes the heat! Trent is such a cool baby. He and Hunter balance each other our perfectly and they are so fun to watch!

I LOVE our family of 4. It continues to feel so natural, as if I always had my 2 boys! I have my challenging moments. My life is a major juggling act right now, but having Hunter and Trent with me can always bring a smile in times of chaos! As much as I can't wait to get settled in our new life...I am also enjoying the moment with my boys as each day gets more adventurous than the day before!!

2 Months

 Weight: 11.1 oz
Height: 23 in
I truly can not believe that Trent is 2 months old! It is kind of sad how fast time is moving by. He continues to be such an easy, laid back and content baby! We are still busy-busy-busy with house stuff, and Trent is hauled around way too much. But, things are slowing down and we are starting to spend more time just playing and relaxing together.
He is really blossoming into his own person! His smile is huge and lights up his whole face, but he is pretty picky about when he smiles..."tough crowd!" My dad and I can usually get him to smile after establishing firm eye contact, but Hunter can get him to smile in a heart beat. As for Scott, well Trent does not think he is very funny yet, probably because Scott blows in Trent's face- why? Because Trent makes the funniest face and sticks out his tongue when Scott does this.
  • He continues to eat every 3 hours..starting around 8:00am
  • He gives us about a 5-6 hr stretch at night.
  • We lay him down around 8:00pm and he usually goes straight to sleep
  • He naps on the go due to our chaos, actually today is the first time he has ever napped in his crib!
  • Trent is now starting to "talk!!" It is the sweetest sound ever! He babbles and coo's
  • He still prefers to be on his tummy or side but sleeps great on his back at night
  • He doesn't care much for a pacifier
  • He has very light eyebrows and eyelashes
  • His eyes are gorgeous blue
  • He resembles me/my side of family
  • He likes to be held in the upright position
  • Very strong...I almost feel like he could stand! ;)
Overall, all I can say is how content and chill Trent is! Yes, he fusses from time to time. He also gets fidgety and hard to please at times. But 90% of the time he is just simple, content and a joy to be around! I am sick and tired of running around picking up paint, returning fixtures/hardware, meeting contractors, running in and out of the house, loading/unloading the car...I know my boys are tired of it too!! I am so looking forward to getting settled so that we can establish our new life and spend LOTS more family time together! I think Trent will be very happy when we get settled in our new home because he will have some regularity in his life.
Today is Hunter's 2nd birthday! Hunter and Trent "click" so good. Hunter is already protecting Trent. He is always saying "Mama- hold baby Trwen!" or "No cry baby Trwen!" He kisses and pats Trent's head a hundred times a day! We have so much to be grateful for, and Trent is one of our biggest blessings!! Life is good!
