Happy Easter

Easter! My favorite time of year!!!! Faith Ann kicked off Easter with an "Easter hat parade" at school. She made her hat and walked in a parade to display the hat. She looked beautiful and was very proud of her hat!! Then, we all headed to Bass Pro Shop to visit the Easter bunny. Faith Ann was NOT interested...at all!! Ha! But, it wasn't crowded so the Easter bunny had time to color with us. That was cool and got the kids even more excited about Easter.

They LOVE dying Easter eggs. This took hours and they had a blast. They all have very different methods. Faith Ann dumped them all in and was done in 5 seconds. Hunter had a plan. Made sure there were an even number of each color. And Trent took his sweet time. One at a time. Just the way he likes it. He tried to get creative with each egg. As we waited for Easter...we filled our days with Princess dresses and putting an American Ninja Warrior buzzer in our front yard! So funny! They finish the ninja obstacle line then run and hit the buzzer! All the street kids love it! I made it out of a pool noodle and oil funnel!! Ha!

Chad and Veronica came in town to help clear out Dad's place, since he now permanently lives in skilled nursing. So, we had to go through everything! They came in town with a trailer and got lots of his furniture for their new house. So, while they were here, we celebrated Easter a day early. The cousins filled our home. I got them all baskets from my dad. Filled with toys and treats. They had a blast. And Scott hid all the eggs. We ate brunch and really enjoyed spending time together.

Easter morning was bright and early! Scott set the alarm VERY early to make sure things were in place. They woke up ready to go! After the egg hunt, we ate breakfast then headed to church. It was a great service. Trent wore his American Ninja Warrior shirt and Faith Ann wore tall red socks...but I decided to pick my battles. They were happy! Then, just the 5 of us went to Hungry's for lunch. YUMMY! We sat outside on a beautiful day and enjoyed our time together. Then, we headed out to visit my dad. He could only handle a 30 minute visit. But, he saw his grandkids and we appreciate the time we have with him. It was a HAPPY EASTER. Different than years before. But, we are grateful. And we are blessed.
