Hello 2020

Happy New Year! 2020! The kids had a New Years Eve party at our house. A lunch time party with outdoor games, lunch, brownies and hours of fun! Then, we went to dinner with the Aston family at Cirros to ring in the new year . It was a great start to a new decade!

We filled the rest of the kids break from school with adventure. We went rock climbing, which the kids love. They are so strong! Hunter went to a big Texans football game and got to go ON the field after the game. So cool!!! Trent was jealous but wanted to hear every detail!

Scott went to Oklahoma for a few days. He looks forward to this every year. He goes hunting with friends in the freezing weather. Doesn't sound fun to me, but he loves it! I enjoy my alone time with the kids, but am always grateful when Scott returns. The kids headed back to school and the new year has officially begun! Let's GO!!

Happy 90th Birthday MIMI

One last get away before the end of 2019! We wrapped up the year with a birthday weekend for Mimi. Scott's grandmother is 90! We adore Mimi, and she is goals for me. Her physical and mental health is incredible, and her Christian based conditional love is something I aspire to mimic as I age!

 The entire family flew in from all over the country to celebrate Mimi. We went to Austin and had a party in the ballroom of her community place. We watched LSU football and visited for hours. Then, we all went to a Mexican food restaurant for dinner. It was so perfect. Mimi gave an amazing toast full of valuable life lessons.

 She adores her great grandkids, and they all adore her. She laughs and plays with them like a young mom...not a 90 year old! She is something else!! Amazing! Then, we all went to Uncle Tom's house to close out the night with cake. Then we went to Gigi's house to spend the night. Macy, Greg and Kinsley too. The next morning, we had one last Christmas celebration with Gigi, Macy and Greg.

We made it home and ready to close up the year. FaithAnn loves her new robe from Kinsley, she wants to year it all the time!! I adore my precious kids! So, goodbye 2019! You were a year full of memories, fun, joy, challenges, and adventure! We learned a lot, we grew a lot, and we are ready for 2020. A new decade full of new hopes and dreams!
