Thanksgiving

Annual Thanksgiving tradition in Brownwood! We love visiting with Chad and Veronica. It is such a nice get away. The kids adore their cousins. We spend hours outside, eating, playing, exploring. Chad has goats, so the kids get to feed them and experience country life.

We went to their friends land to fish, feed the cows and take long walks. The kids look forward to "Brownwood Thanksgiving" as much as they do DisneyWorld! They talk about all year long. These smiles are genuine. Beau and Kate came too. We had the best time.

Beau rented a lakehouse near Chad's house. We stayed at the house so we all had a place to sleep. It was hot one day, then cold the next. But nothing slowed down the kids. They played until they crashed at night.

We ate an early Thanksgiving dinner, a few days early. We all cooked and gathered at Chad's. It was so so perfect. What a treasured time together. I am very thankful. We really miss mom and dad at this time of year, but we know they are so proud that we all get together ad enjoy our time!

Then, we headed back home to spend actual Thanksgiving. We did a neighborhood marathon Thanksgiving morning. Trent won first place in his age bracket, and he hated it. Lol! Like me, he doesn't love running. But, it was a fun morning. Then we headed to Scotts cousin, JP's house. It was perfect. We stayed for hours. Eating and visiting with Scott's family. We really enjoyed the day. Happy Thanksgiving. We are grateful, thankful and blessed!

Random Stuff

Lunches, girl get away, snap shots and haircuts. My days have been filled with simple fun. I decided to make a long weekend and go to RoundTop with friends. I bought a great piece of furniture for the house, and I am super excited about it. We stayed in a hotel, and enjoyed a long dinner. Long walks, shopping and delicious lunch. Such a great time away.

The kids and I still go to Westside, and we are enjoying the break from this crazy world. Covid is still here and still trying to control us. But, we have found a way to maintain some normalcy, so we are sticking with it.

Jake turned 18, so I took him out to a yummy dinner. We talked for hours and had the best time. Such treasured memories. I also cut 7 inches of my hair off! It feels great! I like a change every once and a while.

We have wrapped houses, made pumpkin gingerbread haunted houses, swam with cousins, and so much more. Although Covid has changed the world, it hasn't changed our passion for active lifestyle. We have changed the way we do things, but I refuse to stop living. They have one childhood, we have one life, and we are pressing forward....with smiles and memories to overflow our cup.

We sneak off for alone time with the kids. Brunch with FaithAnn and shooting range with the boys. These are good days. They are weird days. Days that will be in the history books. But, may you remember that your momma kept your days memorable and full of life! I love you!

Dogs, Sports and House Update

Our sweet dogs are hanging in there and trying to get used to apartment life. Bentley is aging at rapid pace while living here. Less sunshine, less exercise, less freedom. She isn't loving it. Lou, on the other hand, is all over the furniture and is a bag of lazy bones. Her life will really change when we move back home with new furniture, lol!

Sports is in full swing. Soccer and football. Trent is crushing being quarterback. He is such a stud. So consistent, so passionate. He is so fast and has crazy skills at thinking on his feet. His coaches are fabulous and really fueling his love for the sport. Trent was asked to be an "All Star," and he was presented an award. Big accomplishment for his hard work!

FaithAnn is a BEAST!!!! She scored over 30 goals this season. She was asked to be an "All Star." She played in the All Star game and crushed it. Her hustle and focus is amazing to watch. We will have many soccer games in the future with this girl. And Hunter is on a team with all his friends and having a blast. His coaches are gems. The team is such a gift. Hunter is all smiles, and actually won an award for always smiling!! His team won the Gold Bracket for their division. He got a bling ring, and he is very proud!

The house is coming along. We have walls! And plumbing and electrical is done. They are starting cabinets now. They say we will be in by February, I sure hope so!!! Our apartment is turning into a storage unit, ha! We are being patient, but so ready to get back home. For now, we are grateful for this chapter of chaos life!
