TBall Season and More

Tball season is here, and we are having the time of our life. This goes in the books as my favorite Tball season EVER! Hunter and Trent are on the same team at our church (MDUMC) and Scott is the coach...perfection! Such memories! This is Trent's first time to play Tball, and he is crushing it! He is 2 years younger than everyone else on the team, but you would not know it! He is focused, determined, runs fast and hits hard! Trent is registered for Pre-K at MDUMC (for next school year), so technically the computer system let me register him on the same team as Hunter. I didn't ask questions and went along with the greatness!
The team is full of Rummel Creek kids that are in Hunter's class and some of our other great friends that have been on sports teams with us in the past. It is such an awesome group of kids. My boys are comfortable, happy and living the dream!! I am too...these are such precious days! And Trent is one to watch out for!! He just "gets it!" He is in the game 100%! So fun to watch. And Hunter creams the ball...hard hard hitter! Then he runs the bases with a huge smile, while Trent is focused on that base with a serious face as he sprints! I love how God made my boys so different, yet so connected!
Ohhhh sister! She is on the sidelines stealing the show. Our team is the "Astros." She has an Astros outfit that she looks adorable in! There are some older girls at the games (8 years old.) She clings to those girls and they all have a blast. They play with her hair, play chase, toss the ball, and occupy her for an hour. It's great because Faith Ann is having fun, and I can focus on my sweet boys on the field.
Back to Trent. He is a dare devil and has a need for speed! He is a pro at riding his bike and driving his electric 4-wheeler and our neighbors mo-ped! Our neighbors joke that we will see Trent on the Xgames. He is that good! Just naturally an unreal driver! Well, the guy down the street had an electric scooter that he doesn't use. So, he gave it to us. It goes 10mph, which didn't sound that fast to me! Fearless Trent, hops on and flies down the street! AHHH! 10 mph is much faster than you think. So our rule is he must wear a helmet and only drive on grass, which slows him down! Well, he found a way to make it risky! Flying in our backyard, driving loops and figure 8's! CRASH! Into the brick wall of our house. And tore up his face. Thank goodness he was wearing that helmet. He thought is was awesome and wanted to get back on! So, now our rule is he can only drive in the easement at the end of our street...no trees, no streets, no walls! Say a prayer for me...I think this kid is going to keep me on the edge of my seat! Yet, he has the kindest, most sincere and gentle heart. Gosh, I love him! Speaking of fears, sister is apparently deathly afraid to drive through a car wash!
We are still going to Wednesday lunch with Daddy. Scott always looks forward to our weekly visits, and so do we. It is just me and Faith Ann these days, and she LOVES this time alone with us. She walks around like she owns the place in her beaded necklaces, which she never takes off! Ever! She is something else. I love her to pieces. Scott just said, "I'm in trouble with that girl. I seriously think about how beautiful she is while I'm at work, and I think about how perfect she is!" Sounds like she has him wrapped around her finger!
Hunter is still loving school and excelling beyond measure! He LOVES his friends so much. His teachers told me, "we are working on Hunter worrying about himself and stop worrying about everyone and everything else!" It's just his nature. He was born a caretaker. He recently spent the night at my brother Chad's house. Hunter loves his cousins Jim, Rebecca and Gabriella. He had a blast!! He didn't sleep much, he came home and slept on the couch for hours...even with Trent and Faith Ann playing "chase the ghost!!" Scott loves bedtime with the kids an reading books. They pile in our bed, and it is adorable! And this picture of Faith Ann is one for me to remember forever! This is how I will remember her baby days...sucking her thumb and twirling her hair. This is her comfort, her go-to, and one of the final things that make her a "baby!" I never want her to stop!! Great memories that I want to store forever!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! First off, I have to acknowledge Faith Ann's adorable dress. She looked precious! The colors were beautiful, the pattern and the details are perfection! It's not the traditional smocked dress, which I was drawn to. Sister looked like a precious moment doll in her Easter dress! One, of the many many reasons, that I love having a little girl!
\
We had a long weekend, and we went out of town to my brothers lake house. So, the Easter bunny came to our house on Good Friday. The boys were shocked and beyond excited. Hunter got a "fit bit"...thanks to Five Below! This "fit bit" is perfect for a 5 year old, and now Hunter feels as cool as his older cousins! Trent got bases to practice Tball. He was so happy! He ran outside and set them out to start practicing! Faith Ann got her own big girl brush. So, she can stop stealing and hiding mine! She hasn't put down her brush since! They got a few other goodies (coloring books and candy.) But, the Easter bunny keeps things pretty simple as we try not to "over materialize" this wonderful day.
The Easter bunny hid eggs. Hunter and Trent loved hunting, and the Easter bunny enjoyed hiding their eggs a little more challenging this year. However, Faith Ann wanted nothing to do with the eggs! She did not want one egg in her basket. She would scream "NO" and fuss until Scott took the egg out...she didn't even want to touch them!
Then off the Lake Livingston. We always have fun at my brothers lake house. My dad came too to celebrate Easter. Traveling is getting harder and harder on him, so we were so happy that be was able to enjoy the weekend. We started off with the local parade and egg hunt. Again, Faith Ann not an egg fan! But, she is warming up to it! The boys filled their buckets to the brim!
We even got to enjoy some water fun. I LOVE water sports. Scott says I could be a stunt woman in movies for water sports! Ha! I can do all sorts of tricks on jet skis. The boys were obsessed and kept wanting to ride with mommy! They are so brave! They kept wanting me to "do those fun turns!" I may have made everyone else nervous, but the boys and I had a great time! Then, I got creative by trying to make a water slide. I propped up an old slide on a tree and put the hose on it. It was fun and very funny!! Needless to say, the kids had a blast!
We had lots of egg hunts, golf cart rides, ping pong, and outdoor fun! This picture of Hunter and Faith Ann is my favorite! It really captures their friendship and love for each other! Hunter is getting so mature, and he had a blast! Faith Ann is still at that awful age to be around water, so we stayed by her side most of the time...Ally gave us a break from time to time. Good ole Ally!
Easter morning, we all woke up to the kids dying to go downstairs! The Easter bunny came to the lake!! My dad always likes to fill baskets on behalf of he and my mom. So, I do the shopping and put them together. My dad sits back and watches his grandchildren enjoy the loot! Trent got a little race car track that he is obsessed with! Faith Ann got a Barbie doll that had her head twisted, legs backwards, and lost shoes in about 5 minutes! But they had a great morning. Another egg hunt too!
When we got home, I was back to ninja training! Sam Sann has some crazy new obstacles that I got to practice. He is so good at creating obstacles that challenge every muscle, concentration and bravery as you throw yourself 12 feet in the air!! I will know if I made it on the show in the next 3 weeks or so!! If I do get the call, I will head to Oklahoma City for our regions taping! Either way, I am blessed to be on this journey and see where God takes me! It was a Happy Happy Easter!
