Baseball in Full Swing

"Take me out to the ball game!!!!" What a great time of year! Baseball season is in full swing, and we are busy!! All three are playing this season, and we are off to a great start! Hunter is on the Cardinals, Trent is on the Oriels, and Faith Ann is on the Ballers! Boys are in SBMSA and Faith Ann is playing Tball at our church, MDUMC. I am her coach, and these days are priceless!

Both boys are #99, which was unplanned and such a fun surprise! JJ Watt is Trent's idol, and although he is football...Trent is pumped to be wearing his number! And both boys got their season opener game ball!! That is a big deal!!! They both had big hits at their first game. Trent got a homerun, and it was AMAZING to watch. He slid into home with a huge smile!

Hunter has greatly improved!!! They have practiced so much, and something has really "clicked" with Hunter. This is his breakthrough season! His fielding is on point and his hits are all outfield!! Trent is in his element and plays first base. His head is always in the game and he continues to amaze me!

Our schedules are jam packed and super busy, but THESE ARE THE MOMENTS I live for! They are all happy and glowing. FaithAnn looked so precious at her game. You can tell she has been watching brothers play sports her entire life. She was focused and knew just what to do!! They each have their concession stand money bags. Each have $15 in them to last the entire season. They have to budget and make choices with their money! I also have an "earn more" bag. They can earn more dollars by showing good sportsmanship, respect, and being kind! Let's see how that goes!! And we wrapped up the season opening weekend with eating dinner at Sam's Fries and Pies for Jake's first day of work!!! Lots to celebrate....and we are off to a great season!!

Spring Break

SEA WORLD!!! Wildlife Safari and Riverwalk! We loaded up and went to San Antonio with a huge group of friends. We have been looking forward to this vacation for months. There were 14 kids under 8 years old in one house...it was amazing. With the best of friends (Lankfords, Cupics and Rogers.) We have all been friends for years, way back to childhood.

The house we rented was 7,000 square feet and a million bedrooms! With a huge pool, hot tub, playground, trampoline and more. It was paradise. The kids all made pallets and had a blast. Each couple was in charge of dinner one night, then we all put our food together for breakfast. It was perfection and simple.

Our first stop was the Riverwalk. We rode the boats and went to the Alamo. We enjoyed lunch on the river, the weather was great!! The next day, we enjoyed Sea World. The entire group spent over 7 hours at Sea World! We saw shows, rode rollercoasters, saw animals, walked forever, ate ice cream! We all watched each others kids, we were all mixed up! It was like a movie scene..."do you have my kid? I have your kid? We are going here, meet you there!!!" LOL! There was a lot of team work involved.

We then enjoyed the African Wildlife Safari. We drove through tons of wild animals, feeding them from our car. It was about a 2 hour excursion. The kids were obsessed. We ended with ice cream and the petting zoo.

Lots of movies, swimming, playing and laughter filled the house. This was seriously the most perfect spring break. Great chemistry among the kids, easy going parents, amazing friends, perfect weather, awesome entertainment, endless memories and loads of laughter. Spring Break 2019...you were very good to us!
