Start of Christmas

Cutting down the Christmas tree continues to be our favorite tradition. We love going to the tree farm and finding just the right tree. We say it every year....but this year, we really mean it....we got the best tree ever!!

I told the kids that I wanted to decorate the inside tree. An adult tree. I had such a good time. It turned out beautiful. The kids all have a tree in their room, and they each decorated their own. We also had a tree on the front porch and back porch. The kids got to spread their fun ornaments all over. So festive. We are ready for Christmas.

Even Lou got a tree on the back patio. I loved decorating that space too. We turned on her tree every morning. She felt special. I also had a tree in my gym. All my clients brought ornaments that "represent them." It is a white tree with pink lights. So fun!

The festivities started. We saw Santa Claus at Westside and our neighborhood. We love Westside so much. What a blessing to the families in this community. We had breakfast with Santa, and we also enjoyed their lazy river lights. We did the Lazy River three times, and loved it each time. We have a lot of activities going on, all festive and holiday based. The days will go fast as Christmas comes and goes. Soaking up every second at their tender ages.

More Thanksgiving Break

The second part of Thanksgiving, we headed to Centerville, Tx. Our good friends, the Greens, have a family farm there. It was so fun!!! Haley and Justin have become our very best and closest friends. I have traveled so much with Haley this year. It has been a blessing to get so close.

FaithAnn and Presley have become connected! Like sisters, and I hope it continues to grow as the years go on. My boys love their family too. Grayson is such a funny guy, and my boys always laugh so hard with him.

It was cold. We fished, 4 wheeler, ranger rides, cooking, eating, and LSU football. We bundled up and had the best time. They caught a TON of fish. They were on fire. Every cast, they reeled up a fish. The boys got so good at taking the fish off the hook. It was fun to watch. Hunter is really good at fishing, that may be his favorite outdoor sport.

And their sweet baby Piper. Gosh, she is adorable. My kids adore her and love helping take care of her. Hunter shines around Piper. He is so good with babies. So tender, patient and gentle. He's such a gem. He will be the best dad ever one day. We adore the Green family. We are super thankful for them.

Thanksgiving Fun

Me and the kids headed to Brownwood for the first part of Thanksgiving. My brother, Chad, and his family live there. We had a great time. We've gone every year for 4 years. Just outdoor exploring with cousins. Chads cooking, hiking, fishing. My kids always love going to Brownwood.

We then had Scott's family over for actual Thanksgiving day. It was simple and perfect. We cooked and watched football for hours. Then, my family came over for dinner. I made moms dressing, which is always a hit. Scott and I made the turkey this year, and it was actually really good! My sister, Brooke, joined us. The first time in a long time. It was a really nice holiday break. We are thankful, grateful, blessed.
