Sweet Bentley. Almost 15 years old. We got her in our 2nd year of marriage. She was our second "baby." We had Zoe first and Bentley was a great addition. Bentley went through all the life changes with us. Having babies, 2 houses, my dad dying. She had a strong, fun and active life.
She was pretty sick the last 6 months of her life. Weak, no bowel control, and little energy. Scott had a hard time accepting that it was time. But, mid November, we decided the time had come. Scott made her a huge meal. Bacon, sausage, eggs. and steak! That was her final meal and she ate every last bite.
We said our goodbyes. The kids and Lou gave hugs. Hunter had the hardest time. He kept running out to the car to say bye "one more time!" Scott and I went to the vet and put her to sleep. It was too hard for Scott. He had to leave in the middle of the appointment. I laid on the floor with her until she was gone. It was peaceful. It was time. We love you Bentley! Say hi to Zoe for us!
