Spring Break Part 2 and More

Part 2! We had a couple days at home. R&R. We took a lot of long walks, planted flowers and geared up to head to Dallas. We stayed with my cousin, Sarah. She is battling breast cancer, so we loaded up to go help. Her kids got a break by playing with cousins. I helped organize some closets and pantry. I cooked a million meals and visited until the wee hours of the night. I enjoyed this time so very much. It was time well spent on being productive, serving and being grateful.

Hunter's 5th grade track meet was so fun!! He earned a spot on the Rummel Creek team. He tried out, worked hard and we supported him along the way. He did the 400 relay race. He had the third pass off spot, and they did great. So fun to watch!

I did some research and found an organization that receives gifts for incoming cancer children. Ugh. So heartbreaking. I wanted my kids to contribute. So, we got some friends together and made some Easter baskets. The kids took their time to fill them and pray over them. Hunter struggled to hold back the tears. He gets it. He understands the value and depth. He has such a big heart, and I am so blessed to have a child like him. Such an empathetic soul. We pray these baskets are sent with joy to the child the receives them.
