6 month stats

Height: 26.75 in
Weight: 17.1 lbs
Hunter is healthy, and we are very grateful for such a positive doctor appointment! We are still exclusively breastfeeding and I've added a little rice cereal in the morning. The doctor said, "Is he ready for food-yes, Does he need food-no, Will food make your life more complicated-yes!" So, on that note...I am going to keep things simple as long as I can. He is growing, healthy, happy, and sleeping wonderful. I am not going to rock the boat! Each breastfeeding session takes about 5-10 minutes total (5 times a day) so I am going to enjoy the simplicity while it lasts!!

We had our first road trip to Dallas to visit cousins. Hunter did amazing in the car, and the pack-n-play was okay. Naps were great, Friday night was good, but Saturday night was not fun! Sleeping in the same room was interesting...I have discovered that Hunter is a major sleep talker! He is sound asleep while talking, rambling, and moaning! The good news is....he went right back to his routine when we got home!! I was expecting a few nights and naps of crying...nope, he earned an A+!

Quick update: Hunter reaches for me to pick him up, so cute! He hardly burps after feedings anymore, and he rarely spits up ;)!! We have shopped in his big boy Chico umbrella stroller...he looks adorable and gets lots of attention (I may be putting up the snap-n-go until next baby!!), the lamb swing is packed up...I never thought that day would come. Hunter loved every second in that swing, he just got too big. He plays with his feet often, and blows "raspberries." He is finally down to 2 naps a day 9-10:30 and 2-4!! I LOVE that he is awake more and that I can plan my outings, appointments, and fun stuff around his naps! We are loving the weather and staying super busy. We enjoyed the most gorgeous picnic at Vargo's restaurant with friends! His new trick...he sticks his thumb IN his pacifier, and sucks his "thumb-afier!" He is so "advanced!" hehehe!
