Happy 36th Scott and Basketball

January 7th! Scott turned 36!!! I had a FUN weekend planned, we had a blast! Scott's mom, Gigi, came in town to stay at our house with the kids. We headed to Wharton, Tx for adventure...hang-gliding, dinner, drinks and a night away in a hotel. It was a surprise, and Scott was totally excited.

We were tourist in this tiny town. We made lots of stops and had no care for time! We enjoyed the time away! Lots of laughs. The hang-gliding was SO MUCH fun! We went 1,500 feet in the air and glided down. It was cold!!! But a surreal feeling!

On his actual birthday...the kids and I decorated the house! Full out LSU theme! We had a great dinner and cookie cake! Scott really enjoyed his 36th! Looking forward to another year of growth and memories!

Basketball season!!!!! ! A favorite of mine. I was Faith Ann's coach, and it was adorable!! Hunter played SBMSA, which was more "grown up" than he has played in the past. He was ready for it. He is SO aggressive and attacks the ball. But, he is tiny! So, he struggled getting shots off without getting blocked. But he hung in there and was a big asset to his team. He learned so much and his heart was in the game every second. He practiced hours a day, every day. All I heard was dribbling and shooting! He definitely has a passion for basketball.

Faith Ann was on the Mermaids, Trent was on the Rockets, and Hunter was on the Grizzlies. Trent is totally ready for the next league. The league he was on this season was a bit slower paced and less competitive than Trent's desire. He is a fast runner, quick and far shooter, and dribbling master. He has a lot to learn in regards to passing and keeping in control of his dribbling and running! But, he is so athletic and LOVES any sport!

Their teams were adorable and so fun to watch! I feel like the kids have grown so much, just over the past 2 months. 2019 has started off strong, and basketball was a great start to the year.

We ended the season with going to the Harlem Globetrotters. The kids were obsessed. The trick shots were so fun to watch. We got a basketball, and the kids took the ball to their last game of the season. They felt so cool!!! Goodbye basketball season!!!! Roots were deepened with new and old friends, new skills, new lessons and good ole' fashioned hard work!
