Happy Easter

Happy Easter!! Maybe my favorite time of year!! Hunter always says that Easter is his favorite holiday. I love that! You can tell by his smile next to the Easter bunny. FaithAnn...not so much! She tried so hard to be brave. She smiled through the tears. I love this picture!
The days leading up to Easter were action packed. We decorated Easter egg cookies and dyed Easter eggs. All outside, of course! The weather is great, and we are soaking up the cool-ish sunshine! I absolutely love the front yard picnic table that Scott got me for Christmas. We use it all the time!

Easter baskets were packed and ready to go! The Easter bunny brought some goodies. And I got each kid their own Pokémon binders to store their cards. They are all into trading Pokémon cards these days. This was a HIT! They were obsessed. They all got coloring paper, candy, footballs, a tennis racquet and some slime! They went through their baskets then headed outside for the egg hunt.

They are so stinkin adorable. Gosh, what a great season of life. Big hearts that believe, anxious smiles ready to go! I loved watching them hunt for eggs. EARLY in the morning with the grass full of dew. We ate a big breakfast then headed to church.

It was a beautiful service. The kids sat in church with us. They were still and listened. They are really growing up. Bittersweet. This was my first Easter without my dad. Also, bittersweet. He was such a special man. I always looked forward to seeing his car pull up to my house, wobble up the driveway with a cup of coffee in one hand and his dog Sally in the other! He was so good at just sitting, listening, observing, laughing and taking it all in! His memory was very much alive this Easter.

We went to Beau and Kate's house after church. For lunch and a swimming egg hunt! It was our smallest Easter in terms of number of people...but our biggest Easter in terms of change! Change is hard, but so so sweet! Chad and Veronica are in Brownwood. Dad is gone. So it's just this crew on Easter, but we had a blast! Simple!! Eggs in the pool to swim for the eggs. Yummy lunch. Gorgeous weather. We really enjoyed their new pool!

Macy and Kinsley are in town. They spent the night with us on Easter. So, we wrapped up our day with sweet cousin time. They spent the week with us. So, we made lots of great memories. Walking to school, pallets, Baseball games, outdoor fun, bus stops, meals, and lots of laughter. We broke in sisters tennis racquet and truly soaked up this week! It was action packed. It was bittersweet. It was perfect. Happy Easter!
