Christmas Continues

Party time. We have a lot of Christmas work parties, neighborhood parties, friend parties and kid parties too!! Lots of cute outfits, yummy food and good times. It's always nice to get dressed up as a treat. We had my dads side of the family celebration early in the month. We went to my cousin, Lacey's farm in Madisonville, Tx. It was cold, but that didn't stop us from swimming and playing on 4wheelers. The kids had a blast. It's such a big group with my cousins and their kids. What special memories for our family.

We had a tacky sweater party and lots of Westside Lazy River lights. Always a hit. Then, we had our immediate family party at our house. Beau made gumbo, and it was delicious. It always reminds us of my mom because she loved to cook a Christmas gumbo. Brooke also joined us, which has been really nice.

FaithAnn and I went to the Nutcracker with some friends. So fancy!! We had a great girls brunch before the play. Such precious girls and sweet memories. Mother/daughter time is only getting more special as she ages.

Then we had the treat of Veronica coming in town! We always love time with them. Cousin time is priceless. We did all the things. Ice skating, River Oaks Christmas lights, Westside and more. It was casual, spontaneous and perfect.

A new tradition that I am really excited about is Brookwood. Mom and I used to go to Christmas brunch at Brookwood, so I decided to get a group and go eat. The Brookwood community is so special. It's a little slice of Heaven just 30 minutes away from Houston. Special needs adults live in and run the community. It was delicious and a new tradition.

I did a lot of activities with the kids during their school break. We went to the Second Baptist train exhibit, which is timeless. No matter their age, it's fun. We have been spending a lot of time with baby Piper, and it is sooooo darn cute. My boys are obsessed. Such a treasure to watch their sensitive side. Then, parties and more parties. The weeks leading up to Christmas are filled with fun and joy. I am grateful for the love that surrounds our family. Merry Christmas.
