Ringing in the New Year in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Our good friends, Dave and Katie Miller own a ski in/ski out house. We were so excited to experience convenient skiing! Wow! What an amazing way to ski. Their house was gorgeous. It was the perfect way to end the year, and start fresh with 2023!
Their kids are same ages as ours. Hunter and Parker are good friends. Campbell and FaithAnn are too, and will all be at Memorial Middle School together. This is only the second time my kids have skied, and they did great. The first day was a little rough. Lots of falling and remembering how to ski. But, they were ready to rumble come day 2!
Beaver Creek is an epic resort. The trails are so cool, there is something for everyone. I'm pretty sure Trent is going to be a mountain man. He LOVES skiing, snow, exploring and just being free. Hunter is a great skier. More cautious and intentional but holds his own. FaithAnn is fearless and consistent. They are all going to be fantastic and confident skiers.
In addition to skiing...we sled, ate, shopped, and went ice skating at this adorable skate rink. I felt like we were in a snow globe. So magical and memorable. We also celebrated Scott's 40th Birthday. The kids colored pictures to decorate. Then we ate dinner then watched fireworks on New Years Eve. It was perfect. Happy 2023!! Cheers to an amazing start to our year.
