Skiing Spring Break

Pagosa Springs, Colorado!! What an amazing trip . The perfect place to take the kids for their first time to ski. They did SO good! Naturals! We headed out for the 15 hour road trip. We broke it up into 2 days. It wasn't that bad, but definitely the hardest part of the trip, lol. We made it, and we were ready to rumble!

Haley's parents own this beautiful home that we were blessed to stay in. The first day we stayed around the house and went sledding and played in the snow. We stayed up too late, laughed too much and it was a great start to a very memorable trip.

There are Hot Springs about 20 minutes away from their house. We really loved this adventure. Natural hot spring swimming in the snow...while it was snowing! What a priceless memory. The Schick family rolled into town and met us at the springs. We were in full blown Spring Break mode at this point.

The next day, we made the 20 minute drive for our first day of skiing in Wolfe Creek. It was seriously the best place I have ever skied. The snow was powder, the lines weren't long, the runs were so perfect. The kids went to ski school the first 2 days. It is unreal how much and how fast they learned. The adults had 2 days of skiing to ourselves. We took very few breaks and had a blast.

It was the perfect blend of challenging and fun. The weather was to die for!!! We would bump into the kids from time to time, and they were confident and all smiles. We ate a late lunch then all headed back home. We cooked dinner, the kids played wild, we stayed up late...only to wake up and do it all again.

This group is the best traveling crew. The chemistry is easy, the laughs are hard and love is true! We all care for each other and all the kids like our own families. What treasured memories and friendships. The 3rd day skiing was different and maybe the most fun!! We skied with the kids the entire day. No more ski school.

They crushed it. My boys went down BLACKS!! That is crazy. And they did it smooth too. FaithAnn was cool as a cucumber and so brave. She did blues like a pro. They didn't want to stop. We will definitely be skiing again sooner than later!

Scott and I had a night to break away for a date. We also had a day of snow tubing. OMG....maybe the highlight of the trip. So so fun!!! Flying down the mountain on tubes! Trent knocked over some kids, which ended up providing us the best video of the entire trip! Then we had a day of slow moving, late breakfast, town shopping and exploring. Such a great town. We are huge fans!!! Then, off we went. 15 hours back home....but back to our HOUSE!! We moved back home the day we got back skiing.
