These Days

Happy JULY! Oh my, I feel like it was yesterday that I went into labor with Trent on 4th of July. The doctors gave me medicine to slow down contractions to buy him more time. He made it 12 more days, thankfully! July is a great month for us. My mom's birthday was July 2nd, so we always honor her memory and go to Prince's Hamburgers (her favorite)! Then, our anniversary and Trent's birthday are on the SAME day- July 16th! July is full of happy memories, and of course we are grateful for our freedom on 4th of July!

Trent is totally out of his shell. He has this spitfire side to his personality. It doesn't come out very often, but when it does- watch out!! Things that trigger his spitfire side....holding his arms/hands, taking his food away and wiping his nose. The other 99% of the time, he is still this lovable and gentle soul. He tolerates so much, which is a trait that will get him through many hard times in life. He can miss his naps and be fine cat napping in the car, he can skip snacks when we are on the go and he just rolls with it, Hunter takes a toy away from him so he just crawls and gets a new toy without fussing! Seriously, his flexibility is something that I need to learn from- it makes life so much more enjoyable!

We have had a lot of birthday parties lately. Hunter LOVES a party. He will ask questions, "Where is Max's party- what are we going to do- how old is he- who is going to be there?" He truly makes the most out of life's moments, which is one of the things I love most about him! We went bowling for a party, and Hunter was really pretty good. Trent crawled up and down the open lane next to us, and I had to keep running around to grab him. He loved all the flashing lights, music, tons of people and he was making everyone laugh when he would break free for the lane!
Hunter and Trent saw every single one of their cousins in one day last weekend. We had cousin Kinsley's party then saw the rest of the cousins at Max's party. What a blessing to have the ability to see all your cousins without leaving town! They have a blast with all their cousins, and they are making memories that will last a lifetime!
