Softball Heat Tournament Team

Bucket list item checked off the list for sister. I told her she could try out for the summer tournament softball. After a lousy tryout (which she was stressed about), she ended up making the team because the coaches know how great she is! It was a HUGE commitment. Time, money, and energy! But it was epic memories.

What an experience. 7 weeks of intense level summer softball. Multiple games every weekend. Sometimes 5 games in ONE day. Practices throughout the week. It was HOT, but it was a time of growth for FaithAnn. She learned leaps and bounds. I feel like this was a one time thing for us. It was a major family commitment and knocked off the priorities and balance. We missed church every weekend, no family dinners, etc. Just not the best fit for us. Short term, it was fine. But probably isn't our long term plan. Sister soaked up every second.

The boys came to every game and were her loyal cheerleaders. She played shortstop and nailed it. Scooped up many balls and great throws to first. She made a ton of outs. She caught some pop flys, and she also missed some. Which challenged her because she wanted to cry many times, but again...growth! She grew in understanding that mistakes are part of the game. She is a such a beast. Her effort is insane! She bust her butt every second. Hitting multiple homeruns and whipping around those bases in record speed. Such a trooper. The coaches were proud. We were proud. She was proud! What a great experience.
